John died on September 10, 1845 in the area of Loami Township, Sangamon County, Illinois, aged 63ys 11mo and 2dys. He married Jennie (...?), she was born in 1796 and died in Loami Township on November 10 1873, aged 77 years. They are buried side by side in the Sulphur Springs Cemetery near Loami, in Sangamon County, Illinois. Although their markers are quite weathered and worn, they can still be deciphered, Jennie Huggins' marker has sunken to where you have to look very hard and from different angles to make out that she was aged 77 years at the time of her deathe in 1873.
