Barbara F. Lanier - METTER - Barbara Fordham Lanier, 84, of Metter, died Sunday, March 20, 2011 at Ogeechee Area Hospice. Born in Atlanta, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Dora Trapnell Fordham and lived most of her life in Candler County. She was a homemaker, and along with her husband Ray, they owned and operated Lanier Furniture Store for 23 years. Barbara was a member of the Metter Primitive Baptist Church and the Marian Agan Circle. In earlier years, she was a volunteer for the Care Cottage. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday graveside at Lake Cemetery. Kennedy Funeral Homes Hooks Chapel.
