Son of Jonathan & Keziah (Bangs) Haskins

In the recent death of Deacon Freeman Haskins the town has lost one of its oldest inhabitants and the Baptist church a devoted member. Mr. Haskins united with the church Dec. 20, 1816, and for nearly 69 years his prayers and efforts have been given to it. He came to this town when only five years old, and had therefore lived here 85 years. He retained his youthfulness in a remarkable degree, and so entered into the sympathies of all as to be a genial companion for old and young.
