Louisa Overbey was a strong woman and we have only part of her story. Louisa had three children out of wedlock before she married Joseph Hite . George Overby was born 1857 and was alive at the 1860 census [no other info anywhere] Ann Overby was born 1859 and is 9/12 at the 1860 census ;in the 1870 census she is living with Bedford Tallley and Sabrina Overby Talley ; 1880 she is a servant for James J. Mathews and Mary Mathews; John H. Overby is born 1862 and in 1870 census is listed as John with Joseph Hite and Louisa Overby Hite . In 1880 John H. Overby is living with John K Talley and Harriet E. Talley [later he marries a Talley girl]

Overbey ,the Talleys and the Hites are an example of the families of the area " THEY WERE DAMN FINE FAMILIES " PLEASE NOTE IN THE 1850 CENSUS LOUISA OVERBY IS 20 YEARS OLD , SEEMS CORRECT AS HER PARENTS JOHN AND LOUISA OVERBY WERE MARRIED IN GRANVILLE IN 1830. THE DEATH CERT SHOWS 1827 BUT IS INCORRECT .
