On December 12, 1933, he married Laura Kaderabek in Manitowoc. She preceded him in death in 1958.
On Nov. 14, 1959, he married Lottie Noel Schallie in Sheboygan Falls. The couple celebrated their 25-year silver wedding anniversary in November 1984.
He was employed for 18 years at Sheboygan Falls Creamery and 20 years as custodian at Sheboygan Falls Municipal Building until his retirement in 1978.
Edward is survived by his wife, Lottie; one son, Charles (Marilyn) Lex of Sheboygan; one daughter, Judy (Ronald) Siemers of Sheboygan Falls; five stepdaughters: Marion Leischow of Algoma, Bernadine (Robert) Orde of Howards Grove, Arbutius "Beauty" Paape and Betty Davis both of Sheboygan; and one step-son Arthur Schallie of Antigo. He is also survived by six grandchildren; one great-great grandson; two brothers Ralph (Evelyn) Lex of Appleton and Vernon (Gladys) Lex of Deerfeld, Ill.; one sister Helen McMahon of Appleton; a brother-in-law, Alvin Jagdfeld of Appleton; two sisters-in-laws, Blanche Lex of St. Mary's Home in Manitowoc and Phebe (Noel) Bogenschultz of Sheboygan; and a brother-in-law Charles (Marge) Noel of Sheboygan.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Laura; a brother Gorman in 1988; a sister Leona in 1990; two infant sisters; four sisters-in-laws; and four brothers-in-law.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at Evangelical Free Church in Sheboygan. Burial will be in Sheboygan Falls Cemetery.
