Helen was born in Quarry, WI. on Dec. 6, 1930, to the late Edward and Clara (Matthies) Lex.
Helen graduated with the class of 1948 at Appleton High School. On August 22, 1953, she was united in marriage to La Moine "Porky" McMahon in St. Therese Catholic Church in Appleton. The couple enjoyed 33 years together until Porky passed away in Sept. of 1986.
Helen worked as a secretary for many years at Memorial Presbyterian Church and Emanual United Methodist Church in Appleton, retiring in 1987. She was a 70 plus year member at Memorial Presbyterian Church, Appleton, and belonged to Home and Community Education formerly known as the. Homemakers.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers; Gorman (Blanche) Lex, Edward (Laura) Lex, Ralph (Evelyn) Lex, and Vernon (Cecelia) Lex; and three sisters: Leona (Al) Jagdfeld, Ruth Lex and Marie Lex.
