Pauline never had to age while here on earth. She managed to get to the general age of a young child and stay there. She could never read or write much. Somehow she remembered the store and the eatin house places she was taken to. I played with her as a child, and her sisters did too. We played house together. My playmate was larger in size than some though. She was adult chronological age by the time I came along. Emiline Essary Burnett Davis is buried next to her. She took care of Pauline until the day she died. She would take the bus to work after her babysitter for Pauline arrived. Pauline loved her "babies" the dolls and her "boyfriends" some fellow on the cover of a magazine. She was mostly cheerful and was always willing to give her best smiles. Death even had a mean cheat for her. She missed much life by retardation and then the ice storm in Springfield, MO. would not allow her to have a proper timely burial. She died Jan. 14 but did not have the interment until Jan. 29, 2007. Maybe her physical body was tortorured and racked with pains and longing to be somewhere, but now the physcial has no power over her. Emiline would have guided her across as all would have expected her to do. It is us left here with painful memories of a child, child woman, and would still play kick ball at 65 if you would let her. Take care our precious child, May you be blessed at last truly in heaven.
