MILES FLEMING DEAD.

Miles Fleming, the son of James and Margaret Fleming, died at the home of his brother in Medicine Hat, Canada, on Tuesday, Dec. 17th. Mr. Fleming was born on the Fleming homestead in Mt. Pleasant, on Jan. 10, 1872 and spent his boyhood in this county, going to Maple Creek, Canada, in 1893. About six years later, he went overhead to Alaska via Edmundton and Athabasca Landing, enduring all the hardships and privations that such a trip meant in those days. Mr. Fleming loved the frontier life, the more desolate it was located at Ketchikan, Alaska, in the employ of the Guggenheim mining interests, until failing health compelled him to relinquish his work. Mr. Fleming was unmarried and is survived by his aged mother and several brothers and sisters who have the sympathy of the community in their affliction. -- Graphic-Republican
