FOXBORO — Agnes Ellen Carey, 83, of Sherman Street, a homemaker, died Saturday in Caritas Norwood Hospital, Norwood.
Born in Chelsea on March 3, 1920, she had been educated in Boston public schools, and had resided in Foxboro from 48 years, moving from Jamaica Plain.
Mrs. Carey was a communicant of St. Mary's Church, and had enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by four daughters, Mary Ellen Roberts of Miami, Fla., Carol Ryan, Karen Ross, and Barbara Anderson, all of Foxboro; a son, Michael Carey of West Yarmouth; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was the sister of the late Larry Briggs, Marion Serra, and Ann Albee.
A funeral service will be held at 8 a.m. Wednesday in the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South St., followed by a funeral Mass at 9 in St. Mary's Church, Carpenter Street. Burial will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery.
