Funeral services were held December 12, 2006, at the Pierce Mortuary Chapel in Eureka. Encryptment was in the Ocean View Cemetery.
Vyron Lough was a native of Petesburg and grew up in Loretto. He served in the US Army in Korea from 1951 to 1953.
He moved to California in 1956 where he married Connie Lou Macomber in 1957. He retired in 1990 after 30 years in the Maintenance Department for Eureka City Schools.
Barney loved to ride horses, do lapidary work with rocks collected in Arizona and spend winters in Bullhead City, AZ. He loved his large extended family.
Survivors include his wife, Connie; his daughter, Kim Plato; brother, Delwyn Lough of Albion; brother-in-law, Dennis Macomber; sisters, Joan Smith and Nina Meyer, both of Albion; grandchildren; and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his father, Duane “Shorty” Lough and mother Nina May Fleek Lough, and stepmother Laverne.
