Agnes Duncan was born on March 23, 1820, in Perthshire, Scotland. She married John M MacEwan on November 28, 1846, in Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland. They had their first child in Scotland. About 1852 they lived in Fall River, Mass. They had five more children while living there. Two of their children died in Fall River, Mass. & was buried there. They moved to Cohoes, NY area about 1870..Eventually they moved the remains of their two children to the Albany rural cemetery from Mass.. They lost two adult children. One son was deemed "idiotic" and died of parallysis at the age of 31..She died on January 23, 1894, in Cohoes, New York, at the age of 73, and was buried in Menands, New York In a family plot.
