Mrs. Jo Ann Green Phillips, age 76, formerly of 109 Coldstream Dr., Boiling Springs, passed away Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Inman Health Care.
Mrs. Phillips was born in Union, August 28, 1942, a daughter of the late Clyde and Mae Tesner Green. She was a graduate of Jonesville High School and was retired from the Union Co. Vocational Rehab. Mrs. Phillips attended Covenant Baptist Church where she was a member of the choir. She was also a volunteer with Spartanburg Co. Mobile Meals.
Surviving are two daughters, Patricia “Leigh” Bradley and husband James of Boiling Springs and Carol Ann Phillips Tilley and husband Randy of Statesville, NC; four sisters, Betty Medford of Buffalo, Shirley Rhinehart and Linda Bradburn both of Union, and Mary Buchanan and husband David of Jonesville; one brother, James Green of Jonesville; two grandchildren, Daniel Stewart of Statesville, NC and Emily Bradley of Boiling Springs; one great-grandchild, Jeremy Stewart of Pacolet. Mrs. Phillips was predeceased by a son, James William Phillips and a great-grandson, Grady Stewart.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at Holcombe’s Jonesville Chapel conducted by Rev. Scott Cobb and Donald Gibson, Chaplain with Mobile Meals.
Visitation will be held Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM also at Holcombe’s Jonesville Chapel.
Memorials may be made to Hospice Compassus, 1923 E. Main St., Duncan, SC 29334 or to Spartanburg Co. Mobile Meals, 419 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC.
The family will be at the home of her sister, Mary Buchanan, 166 Buchanan Dr., Jonesville.
