BEMENT — Elizabeth “Ann” Foran, 89, of Bement passed away at 7:50 a.m. Tuesday (Oct. 16, 2018) at her residence in Bement.

Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, 2018, at the St. Michael's Catholic Church of Bement. The Rev. Father Bruce Lopez will officiate. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until time of services on Saturday at the church. Burial will be in the Bement Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Michael's Catholic Church, Bement, Bement Alumni Association or the Bement E.M.T.'s.

Ann was born on July 9, 1929, in Bement, a daughter of William and Margaret Carlin Tynan. She married Leo T. Foran on Feb. 16, 1957, in Bement, and he passed away on Jan. 28, 1974.

Surviving are two daughters, Lori (Tom) Brady of Plainfield and Ellen Foran of Bement. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Kayleen, Dylan and Olivia Brady; as well as a sister, Barb Little of Penfield; and several nieces and nephews.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two sisters, Margaret Gogerty and Helen Allison.

Ann was a lifelong member of the St. Michael's Catholic Church of Bement. She was proud of her family's farming history and actively managed the family's centennial farm in rural Bement.

She was elected and served as trustee on the Bement Township Board. Her first job was in the office at Kirby Hospital in Monticello. For more than 25 years, she was a jewelry associate at K's Merchandise Mart in Champaign.

She was a member of the Albert Parker American Legion Auxilary; she bowled on an afternoon women's league at the Bement Bowl; and enjoyed playing in the Kitchen Band. Ann had many friends and is remembered for her sense of humor and her ability to make others feel at home.
