Margaret F Gogerty, 90, of Sedalia, passed away May 18, 2011 at Bothwell Regional Health Center.
She was born Feb 27, 1921 in Bement, IL, a daughter of William J. and Margaret J. Carlin Tynan. On Dec 4, 1946, she was married to William T Gogerty, who preceded her in death on Sep 29, 1986. Mrs. Gogerty was raised and educated in Illinois. She was a registered nurse and was a 1943 graduate of St. Joseph School of Nursing at Bloomington, IL. She served in the Army Nurse Corps during World War II. Mrs. Gogerty was a devout Catholic and was an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She was a member of the Daughters of Isabella Sedalia Circle 310, National Association of Retired Persons and Meals on Wheels, where she also served as a board member. She enjoyed playing Bridge.
Surviving are two sisters, Ann Foran of Bement, IL and Barbara Little of Penfield, IL; three grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. She was also preceded in death by a son, Tynan Gogerty; a daughter, Michelle, Lowe; and a sister, Helen Allison.
