Mrs. J. R. Walton
Mrs. Jennie R. Walton, 88, of
New Castle RD 4, the former
Jennie McCracken, died at 11:30
p.m. yesterday in her home af-
ler a three week illness.
She was born in Worth Town-
ship, Butler County on Dec. 10,
1878, to the late Jacob and Hul-
da Shaffer McCracken. She
married Charles 0. Walton in
1904 and he died in 1925.
Mrs. Walton was a member
of Mt. Hermon United Presby-
terian Church and the Mission-
ary Society of the church; the
Slippery Rock Township WCTU
and Liberty Grange.
Surviving are, two daughters.
Mrs. William (Ruth) McConahy
of Volant RD 2, and Mrs. Har-
vey (Marjorie) Peters of Sala.
manca, N.Y.; two sons, Ray-
mond and Ralph both at home;
six grandchildren and 12 great.
grandchildren.
She was preceded in death
by: her parents: her husband:
a sister. Bessie McCracken;
four brothers. George McCrac-
ken. Wilson McCracken, Harry

McCracken and Lee Me
Cracken.
Friends will be received at
the Joseph W. Boyd Funeral
Home, Harlansburg, from 7 to 8
p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9
p.m. tomorrow.
The service will be al 2 p.m.
Thursday from the funeral
home, with Rev. David White of
Mt. Hermon United Presbyter-
ian Church officiating.
Interment will follow in Mt.
Hermon Church Cemetery.
