Christopher Agnew was born in late September 1952, dying aged ten days. He was the fourth and youngest child of Edward ("Eddie") Agnew (1917-2006) and his wife Irma Eunice Medcalf (1915-93), who married in the Blythswood district of Glasgow, Scotland on 14 December 1938.

The infant Christopher was buried on 2 October in the unmarked grave of Eunice Agnew's maternal aunt, Florence Isherwood née Gilbert (1884-1948) and her husband, Richard Isherwood (1881-1948).

Eddie and Eunice Agnew and their three older children, two sons and a daughter, subsequently relocated to Crumpsall, a suburb to the north east of Manchester, where they ran a thriving chemist's shop.

In later years, Christopher's maternal grandparents, Charles James Medcalf (1891-1960) and his wife, Minnie Gilbert (1890-1962) were also interred at Bebington.
