Craig DuBois, age 63, of Floydada, passed away Saturday, October 20, 2018. Graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 25, 2018 at the Floyd County Memorial Park in Floydada. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at the Floydada Volunteer Fire Department Fire Hall. Arrangements are under the personal care of Moore-Rose Funeral Home of Floydada.
Craig was born January 9, 1955 to Bill and Wanda (Lackey) DuBois in Odessa, Texas. He married Gail Poteet on June 15, 1974. They made their home and raised their family in the Cedar Hill Community, before moving to town in 2000. Craig was the Fire Chief at the Floydada Volunteer Fire Department for many years. He was the past President of the Panhandle Fireman Fire Marshall Association and a Board member of the Caprock Hospital Board. If Craig was known for anything, it was making everybody around him laugh. He will be missed dearly by his family and friends. Craig is a member of the First Baptist Church in Floydada.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Bill and Wanda DuBois and one son; Cole DuBois.
He is survived by his wife; Gail DuBois of Floydada, two daughters; Christie Cruse and husband Talon, Cindy DuBois; and those considered like children, Melinda Eubanks Dawes, Brad Swaffer, Chad Guthrie, grandchildren; Riley Scott, Brennan DuBois, Courtney DuBois, Braden Eddleman, Colton Cruse, Audrey Cruse, Lincoln Dawes; and one great-granddaughter Haidyn Scott; and brother Quinn DuBois and wife Michelle.
