Casimiro (Guelo) Garza Jan. 11, 1926 - May 16, 2007 Our beloved Casimiro "Guelo" Garza, 81 of Caldwell, left us to be in the hands of the Lord on May 16, 2007 Swith his family by his side. He was born on Jan. 11, 1926 to Manuel and Sara Garza at La Gloria Ranch in Falfurrias, Texas. He grew up and lived there with his two brothers and older sister. They were a farming family and spent many hours working to uphold their farm. At the young age of 15 he met what became the love of his life, Rosalinda Rodriguez, who was from Falfurrias as well. On Dec. 30, 1945 they were married in their hometown of Falfurrias. For the next 17 years they resided in Texas where they gave birth to four boys. Three of which he is survived by. They are Carlos, Juan, and Manuel. In 1962 they moved to Gila Bend, Ariz. After seven years there they moved to Caldwell, Idaho where he worked at and retired from Simplot after 30 years. After retirement, his time was spent gardening and enjoying his three grandchildren whom he loved and adored unconditionally. He was preceded in death by his sister Emilia "Chita", his two brothers Jesse and Manuel, his mother Sara and his father Manuel. He is survived by his wife of 62 years Rosalinda Garza, his three sons Carlos (Clarrissa) Garza, Juan "John" (Kathy "Sugar") Garza and Manuel "Mandy" (Kathryn) Garza, his three grandchildren Cydni Rose, Eric Juan, and Elizabeth Irene, and his great grand-daughter Addysen Rose. The Vigil will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 19 at Dakan Funeral Chapel in Caldwell. A viewing Sunday, May 20 for family and friends will be held at Dakan from noon to 3 p.m. The funeral mass will be held Monday, May 21 at 11:30 a.m. at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church in Caldwell. Burial will follow the service at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Caldwell.
