Elizabeth Tyler was the daughter of Edward and Nancy Ann (Langley) Tyler.

About 1773 she married the Rev. John Corbly from England.
The couple had 5 children. Sadly Elizabeth and 3 of his children were brutally killed by Indians.

Her children were:

1 Delilah, 1774-1839, m. abt 1789 Levi Jas Martin
2 Elizabeth 1775-1796
3 Isaiah abt 1776-7 - 11 May 1782, killed by Indians
4 Mary Catherine abt 1780 - 10 May 1782, killed by Indians
5 Nancy Corbly abt 1782 - 10 May 1782, killed by Indians

1782 age unknown
Beneath the indians tommyhawks
Me and my babe we fell
Was hurred suddenly away
