Annabelle Jones was born June 25, 1917, in Crawfordsville, Montgomery County, Indiana, the daughter of Franklin Benjamin and Mary Ann (Hamilton) Jones.

Annabelle married Michael Serve Kachorsky on May 9, 1937, in Tippecanoe County, Indiana. Michael was born November 6, 1914, in Manville, Somerset County, New Jersey, the son of Sirgay and Mary (Chabala) Hachorsky. Annabelle and Michael had the following known children:

1. Michael Kachorsky
2. Eloise (Kachorsky) Johnson
3. Marianne (Kachorsky) Bardwell

Annabelle died August 21, 1999, in Hillsborough, Somerset County, New Jersey. Following is a transcription of her obituary from The Courier-News (Bridgewater, New Jersey), 23 Aug 1999:

Annabelle Kachorsky,
first lady Rotarian

MANVILLE - Annabelle Jones Kachorsky, 82, a resident of Manville for 62 years, died in Hillsborough on Saturday (Aug. 21, 1999), at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Carolyn Kachorsky.

A native of Lafayette, Ind., she was the daughter of Franklin Benjamin Jones and Mary Ann Hamilton Jones. Annabelle moved to Manville in 1937 following her marriage to Michael Serge Kachorsky Sr., who had been a civil engineering student at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Ind. He was the Manville Borough Engineer for 50 years. Michael died in 1988.

During their 51 years of marriage, Annabelle served as her husband's constant helpmate in his various endeavors, including Michael S. Kachorsky and Associates engineering firm, the New Jersey and Federal Water Pollution Control Associations, the Raritan Valley and New Jersey State Society of Professional Engineers and Rotary International.

In 1989, Annabelle was installed as the first female member of the Watchung-Warren Rotary Club and was honored for her years of dedicate service to the organization. In 1990, she was honored by the New Jersey Water Pollution Control Association.

Annabelle participated in worship, the Women's Guild and Christian Education Program at the United Reformed Church in Somerville. She was also a member of the Bound Brook Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, the Lion's Club, Manville B.P.O. Elks Lodge #2119 and the Senior Citizens Club of Manville.

Also surviving are her daughters and sons-in law, Eloise and Bob Johnson of Plainfield, and Marianne and BIll Bardwell of Leesburg, Va., and her grandchildren.

A service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 S. Main St., Manville, followed by entombment at Franklin Memorial Park Mausoleum in North Brunswick. Visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
