Lucille "Sis" Z. Barone, 89, of Springfield, N.J., passed away at home with her loving family by her side on Saturday, Nov. 10, 2018.
Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2018, from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Paul Ippolito Summit Memorial, 7 Summit Ave., Summit, N.J. The funeral will take place on Wednesday, Nov. 14, beginning in the funeral home at 9 a.m., followed by the Funeral Mass celebration in St. James Apostle Church, Springfield, N.J., at 10 a.m. Burial is in St. Teresa Cemetery, Summit.
Lucille was born and raised in Summit to Anthony and Edith Zotte. She was a graduate of Summit High School. She met and married her beloved husband, Thomas R. Barone, and moved to Springfield in 1959, where she raised her family.
Lucille, affectionately known as "Sis," was a loving wife, committed mother of four children, and worked several jobs before retiring from the Summit Medical Group as a record keeper. She adored her family and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Lucille is survived by her loving children, Ann Marie Roycoft and her husband, Edward, Elaine Friedrich, Guy Barone and his wife, Sue, and Dominick Barone; her cherished grandchildren, Jennifer Sherman, Valerie and Kayla Barone, and great-grandchildren, Billy and Luke Sherman. She was predeceased by her beloved husband for over 50 years, Thomas R. Barone (2006) and her brothers, Anthony "Farmer" Zotte and Frank "Oscar" Zotte.
