He was born on Oct. 4, 1898, in Medford, a son of Joseph and Mary Kramer Abhold.
On April 19, 1921, he married Theresa Schmitz at St. John the Baptist Church in Johnsburg. The couple celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on April 19 this year.
Mr. Abhold farmed in the Dotyille area for many years and later moved to Fond du Lac. He was employed by Giddings and Lewis until retiring in 1963. He was a member of St. Mary's Church and its Holy Name Society, the Knights of Columbus and the Senior Alliance.
Survivors include his wife; one son, Robert of Dotyville; four daughters, Mrs. Herb (Mary) Jaeger and Mrs. Doug ( Betty) Trepanier, both of Fond du Lac, Mrs. Robert (Dorothy) Kelley of Route 2, and Mrs. Duane (Anita) Moquin of Wytheville, Va.; 22 grandchildren; 18 greatgrandchildren; one brother, Louis of Yakima, Wash.; two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Felchlin of Green Bay; and Mrs. Katherine Thuermer of Mount Calvary.
One daughter, one sister and five brothers preceded him in death.
