TOMBSTONE - Esther Dollarhide of Tombstone, passed away peacefully Sunday evening, Feb. 12, 2017, with family members gathered around.

Esther fought a gallant battle against cancer for two and one half years. She is survived by her husband Richard; son Ronald Dollarhide (Nea) of Newton, Iowa; daughter Brenda Feldman of Columbia, Tennessee; and three grandsons.

Esther was born in San Pedro, California, in 1950 to James and Ellen Stevenson. She was a 1968 graduate of San Pedro High School and attended Golden West College in Orange County, California. She and Richard were married June 20, 1970. Esther worked a variety of jobs including the Riverside County District Attorney's Family Support Division in Blythe. She settled on a real estate career shortly before moving to Tombstone in 2001. Esther was involved in community activities including the Tombstone Western Music Festival, Tombstone Wild Bunch and Hell's Belles.

Memorial and a celebration of life will be held Friday, Feb. 24 at 2 p.m. at Hatfield Funeral Home 830 S. Hwy. 92 in Sierra Vista.
