His wife's name was Mary Walle, they had 4 sons and 6 daughters.

This was added July 4, 2008, in a flower left for John, I decided it was better here!

John was my 4th great grandfather. He raised a family of 4 son's and 6 daughter's with his wife, Mary Walle. They were all born in Va. He is said to have been one of the first settlers of Ohio and also participated in the Indian War. It is also believed that John's father participated in the Revolutionary War, but no evidence has been found to prove this.John Fleming died on Nov. 15, 1843, and was buried at the back of his farm. Later his son Robert gave this land to the county to be designated as the Fleming family cemetery. Since that time it has been known as such. Today a marble marker identifies it. It sits off of county road 200W., range 6W., section 4 in Porter Township, Porter County, Indiana, just outside the city of Valparaiso, IN.According to history, John Fleming took his family and moved to Ohio in 1827. Later John's 2nd daughter Jane Fleming Adams settled in 1831 in what is known now as Porter County, Indiana. (1837 is when it became a county). Then in the spring of 1833, John Fleming's sons Jacob (along with his wife), Robert Fleming, and a family by the name of Shultz moved to Porter County.John was said to be a wealthy man through the many acres of land he owned. He often gave it away as gifts to his children.
