Charles C. Cisler, 80, of 4019 Village Drive, Whitelaw, died unexpectedly Tuesday morning, October 11, 1988, at his residence in Branch.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Saur Funeral Home, Kellnersville, and burial will be in Knollwood Memorial Gardens, Town of Kossuth.

Mr. Cisler was born March 23, 1908, in the town of Manitowoc Rapids, son of the late Adolph and Margaret Cenefelt Cisler. He attended Branch Grade School and Lincoln High School, Manitowoc. He married the former Martha Andres, June 18, 1930, and the couple farmed in the Town of Manitowoc Rapids. Mr. Cisler was employed at Manitowoc Shipbuilding and then at Grey Iron Foundry, retiring in 1975. The couple moved to their present home in Branch in 1967.

Survivors include his wife, Martha; two sons and three daughters-in-law, Milton and Janet Cisler of Manitowoc, Wayne and Joyce Cisler of Route 1, Whitelaw, and Rita Cisler of Manitowoc; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Karen and David Hartman of Manitowoc, Leah Simmons of Manitowoc and Calla and Richard Spevacek of Alto Loma, California; a sister, Mrs. Mayme Larson of Manitowoc; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Esther Cisler of Valders; 16 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Allen, 3 brothers and 3 sisters.

Friends may call at Saur Funeral Home, Kellnersville, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday until the time of services.
