Bette Levin, 95, formerly of Baltimore, Md. and Gulfport FL, died peacefully at her home at Fairhaven in Sykesville, Md. on November 5th, 2018. Born April 15, 1923 in Bridgeton, N.J., the daughter of Harry and Adeline Sandler (nee Horuvitz). Preceded in death by her parents and loving husband, Benjamin Levin.
Bette graduated from Forest Park High School in 1941. She worked for the Baltimore City Hospitals, the Hecht Company, Stansbury Pharmacy, and the Tomlinson Craft Collection. She received a degree in Occupational Therapy from Baltimore Junior College in 1971. While living in Florida, she volunteered at All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg and was a member of the Brandeis University Women's Organization. Bette was a caring and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to all. She was also an avid gardener, a talented artist, and an excellent cook. She loved art, literature, music, dance and theater and passed her love of the arts on to her children and grandchildren.
Her love of nature was only surpassed by her ability to make anyone who came into her presence feel valued and heard. She is survived by her brother Donald Sandler (Lynne) of Arlington Va. and two sons, Aaron Levin (Jill) of Baltimore, and Robert Levin (Wanda) of Burnsville, N.C. and a daughter, Judith Marshall (Todd) of Saint Paul, Minn. Also by grandchildren Anna Levin of Baltimore, Hannah Levin of Brasstown, N.C. and Molly Rouse (Damon) of Asheville, N.C., Isaac Marshall of Saint Paul and two great-grandchildren, Oscar and Alma Rouse.

Services at SOL LEVINSON & BROS., INC., 8900 Reisterstown Road, at Mount Wilson Lane on Sunday, November 11, at 2 pm. Interment Oheb Shalom Congregation Cemetery - 6130 O'Donnell Street.
