Rachel O. Arvizu of Willcox died at her home on Dec. 15, 2016, at the age of 82. She was born in Florence, Ariz. on March 17, 1934 to Juan V. Arvizu and Adela Ortega Arvizu.
Rachel worked as a housekeeper.
She is survived by her children Gloria (Bennie) Morales of Clifton, Arizona, Cassandra (Ignaciao) Chavez of Willcox, Melissa (Bobby) Pratt of Sahuarita, Ariz. and Timothy (Barbara) Cotherman of Florence. Rachel also is survived by 18 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Her sisters Elidia (Eliseo) Ferrel, Jessie (Richard) Marquez, Melva (Rudy) Romero all of Willcox, Sally (Juan) Moreno of Texas and Gracie (Oscar) Murillo of Willcox survive her. She also is survived by her brothers Johnny Arvizo, Raymond (Mary) Arvizu both of Willcox, Jerry (Peggy) Arvizu of California and Tony Arvizu of Willcox. Preceding her in death was her daughter Rosa Lee Miller and a sister Stella Herrera.
