Architect to Dublin Corporation, 1841-1866.
According to the Irish Builder Hugh Byrne, who was born circa 1808, was a son of PATRICK BYRNE this appears to be supported by the fact that from 1841 or earlier he worked from the same addresses as Patrick Byrne. He held the position of Corporation Architect from 1841 until his death, when he was succeeded by JOHN STIRLING BUTLER.
He died in 1866 at the age of fifty-eight and was buried with Patrick Byrne in Glasnevin Cemetery on 9 August.
His pupils and assistants included his son PATRICK JAMES BYRNE.
JOHN F. BYRNE was his younger brother.
