Mrs. Margaret Madden, of 28 Wood Street, Pittston, passed away in Pittston Hospital yesterday morning at 8:15 following a lingering illness.
Deceased was born in Pittston, a daughter of the late Martin and Anne Kearney Murphy, and resided there her entire life. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church and its Altar and Rosary Society:
Surviving are these children: Mrs. William Dowd, at home; Joseph, Pittston, and Thomas, Houston, Texas; also five grandchildren; a brother, Martin Murphy, Pittston, and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held Friday morning at 9 from the funeral home, 4 Kennedy Street, Pittston, with a requiem mass at 9:30 in St. John's Church. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
