Albert C. "Pete" Leafgreen, 70, of Rio, died this morning in Galesburg Cottage Hospital.
He was born in Rio. He married Vera T. Johnson Oct. 1, 1924 in Galesburg.
Mr. Leafgreen owned and operated Pete's Feed and Supply, Rio, until retiring. He was also an insurance salesman for many years. Mr. Leafgreen was a past member of the Rio Town Board, t r e a s u r e r of Rio Cemetery Association and served as Rio Twp. tax assessor.
Surviving are the widow; five daughters, Mrs. Vivian Allison of Alpha, Mrs. Cletus Devlin of New Windsor, Mrs. Robert Thompson of Galesburg, Mrs. Richard Taylor of Woodhull and Mrs. Don Eiken of Lexington; 14 grandchildren; two great - grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Clarence Leiber and Mrs. Harold Kimpton, both of Galesburg, and brothers, Leonard of Rio and George of William of Galesburg.
