Born and raised in Port Arthur, she attended P.A.C.I. and became an R.N.A. working at the Port Arthur General Hospital for 10 years as part of the "4 West nursing gang." In 1972 Wendy left nursing to open her own business, Snip'n Clip, where she combined her passion for raising and showing Standard Poodles and grooming dogs of all breeds. In 1976 her friend and fellow nurse Sandra Villeneuve added a pet food and supplies store to the grooming shop which they successfully ran for over 20 years. During this period she travelled extensively throughout Canada and the U.S. with her Standard Poodles and their handler Eddie Henderson under her kennel name "Dresden Acres". All of her show dogs became Canadian champions, with several also championing in the USA. A crowning moment for Wendy was when her most memorable dog, Torbec Dresden Doll, was awarded "Best in Show" while still a puppy at the Winnipeg Kennel Club all breed Dog Show. Living with MS for much of her adult life, she was obliged to give up her career and dog kennel in 1997 when her condition became too much to continue working. After retirement, Wendy surrounded herself with feline friends, where her home and family were her main interests. Active in the community and in sports during her youth, she was a pitcher in the local softball league for several years and also enjoyed skiing and bowling. She was a member of St. Andrew's R.C. Church C.W.L. and Thunder Bay Hill City Kinnettes for many years, and on the boards of the Lakehead Kennel and Training Club and the local Multiple Sclerosis Society as Director of Education. It was at one of the local bowling alleys where Wendy first met John Brodack and the rest, as they say, is history. They were married in St. Andrew's R.C. Church, Saturday, July 13, 1968, and on July 13, 2008, celebrated their 40th Wedding anniversary at a reception at the C.L.E. Coliseum.

She is lovingly remembered by her husband John, Daughters Kim (Steve Falcigno), Dawn (Pasi Putkuri) and grandchildren Kayleigh and Ryan Falcigno and Jari Putkuri, her brother Chuck (Vernon) Hall and his wife Dolly of Courtney B.C., and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Howard and Edna Hall.
