Edith J. McClendon of Nancy, Pulaski County, Kentucky died at the age of 86.

She was a lifetime member of Cook’s Chapel Methodist Church. She was a homemaker and a farmer. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, cooking, quilting, going to church and being with her family.

She was survived by her son, Delvin (and Linda) McClendon of Somerset, Kentucky; her daughter Sue (and Bill) Denney of Nancy, Kentucky; five grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George Johnson and Mary Etta (Barnes) Johnson; her husband Edward McClendon (married August 27, 1948 in Somerset, Kentucky); her brother Erthel Johnson; and her sister Redith Sowell.

Funeral Services were held on Sunday, December 30, 2018 in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Brother David Muse, Brother Scott Whittle and Brother Josh McClendon officiating.
