Lorene DeJarnett, age 84, of Paducah, KY, passed away on Sunday, December 30, 2018 at Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Lorene was born on July 25, 1934 in Cairo, IL to the late Franklin and Ethel Privett McAnally. A homemaker most of her life, she worked as a telephone operator in Cairo before she was married and at Sam's Club giving out samples once she was widowed. Lorene's hobbies were writing poetry and playing bridge. She served as treasurer for the Cairo Republican Party and was a member of the DAR and Lone Oak Church Of Christ. She will be remembered best by those who loved her for her smile and joking personality, and someone who was always there and helpful.

She is survived by her daughter, Barbie Williams and husband, Thomas of Wickliffe; her two sons, Roy DeJarnett III and wife, Darlene of Lone Oak and Greg DeJarnett and wife, Jodi of Pittsburg, IL; one sister, Louise Wright of Paducah; one brother, Bill McAnally; ten grandchildren, Michael DeJarnett, Kelby DeJarnett, Trevor DeJarnett, Amber Pharr, Angela Galloway, Heather Lanier, Trae Williams, Alicia Williams, Bryan Williams and Miles Williams; and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Lorene was preceded in death by her husband, Roy L. DeJarnett, Jr., her parents, and three brothers, Richard McAnally, Charles McAnally and John McAnally.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Mr. Paul Wingfield officiating. Burial will be held at a later date.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until the 2:00 pm service time on Thursday, January 3, 2018 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Homes and Cremation Services.
