Obituary

Brenda Henley Heatherly, age 72 of Cullman Alabama, lost her battle with cancer on July 25, 2016.

She is proceeded in death by her mother Lillie Belle Meadows, her father Joseph Sanford Henley, her step father William Meadows and her sister Wynette Henley.

She is survived be her children Greg (Alicia) Heatherly, Brett (Stacy) Heatherly, Leslie (Gary) Holland, Kristen Box, Her brother James (Carol) Henley, her sister Janet Scofield, 19 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Brenda spent many years working for the State of Alabama Mental Authority. After retirement she became Executive Director of Cullman Area Mental Health and eventually brought Opiate addiction treatment to Cullman in 2002 by opening Cullman County Treatment Center. Brenda was instrumental in starting Cullman Caring for Kids, and was an active member of the Cullman County Republic Women.

Brenda was a beloved mother, grandmother, and she touched the lives of many people.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Cullman Caring for Kids or Good Samaritan Clinic of Cullman.
