Suggested edit: Ms. Alma Beasley Burris, 86, of McNeil, AR., passed away January 14th at the Magnolia Regional Medical Center in Magnolia, AR.

She was born March 24, 1931 in Waldo, AR. to Johnny Mixon and Calberta Witcher.

In 1947, she united in holy matrimony to the late Hertis Beasley and to this union nine children were born, then in 1980, she married the late Bernice Burris.
Alma worked for many years as a CAN at Meadowbrook Lodge Nursing Home in Magnolia, AR, she united with the Kendrick Chapel Baptist Church in Waldo, AR at an early age. Later she joined the membership of Cotton Belt Church of God in Christ in Waldo, AR.

She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, two sons; Wade and Dennis Beasley, one great-grandson; Keviunte Beasley.

She survived by: seven daughters; Mrs. Bettye (James) Goff of Rowlet, TX, Mrs. Erma (James) Turner of McNeil, AR, Mrs. Alverdia (Johnny) Jones of Houston, TX, Ms. Mary Louise Beasley of Waldo, AR, Ms. Mae Lan King of Stephens, AR, Mrs. Teresa (Mike) Jones of Texarkana, AR, and Ms. Cassandra Beasley of Waldo, AR. (29) Grandchildren, (43) great-Grandchildren, (10) great great-grandchildren

Celebration of Life will be held Friday, January 19th, at 11:00 a.m. at Cotton Belt Church of God in Christ in Waldo, AR., with burial to follow in the Kendrick Chapel Cemetery in Waldo, AR. Under the direction of R.L. Reed Funeral Home of Magnolia, AR. Supt. James Turner eulogist and Elder Kevin Murphy officiant.

Visitation Thursday 12 - 4: 30 p.m. at the funeral home.
