Gerry Ray "Doc" Edwards, 76, of Piggott, passed away Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at his residence. Doc, son of Tribble Elsworth and Janie Lucile Charlton Edwards, was born Saturday, February 7, 1942 in Holcomb, Missouri. On April 25, 1959, in Kennett, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Maxine Tankersley. She survives.

He was a Truck Driver and attended the Church of Christ in Campbell.

In addition to his wife, Maxine Edward, he is survived by three sons, Garry Edwards, Allan Edwards and Michael Edwards and wife, Marie, all of Piggott; one daughter, Gayla Gill and husband, Kevin, of Poplar Bluff; honorable mentions, Connie Edwards, Jr. of Malden, Brian Steder of Rockford, Illinois; eleven grandchildren, C Jay Edwards, Brianna Edwards, Kevin Gill, Jr., Magen Gunsolley, Joshua Gill, Tasha Causey, Teresa Forrest, Tammy Edwards, Kaylee Edwards, Jherii Carey and Marshall Dilger; twelve great-grandchildren; two sisters, P. Sue Davis of Beebe, Arkansas, Eva McNece; three brothers, Jimmy Edwards and wife, Mary, and Jack Edwards and wife, Sally, all of Fisk, and Ben Edwards of Glennonville.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Connie Edwards, Dale Edwards and Mickey Edwards.

Visitation will be from 1 – 2 p.m., Monday, December 10, 2018 at the Landess Funeral Home in Campbell. Funeral services will immediately follow in the Landess Funeral Chapel in Campbell. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Campbell.
