Edythe always said that she married the best husband in the world, and she truly did; they had a beautiful life together and enjoyed their family so very much. She accepted his hand in marriage and married James Guinn at 16 years old. James served in the United States Army and shortly after their wedding he was deployed to serve overseas in Korea, she was grateful for his safe return.
Edythe was an amazing wife, mother and homemaker. She loved to cook, and enjoyed being a part of the potluck group where they would share recipes and fellowship. She also was an avid square dancer and participated for many years. Edythe loved her church and she was a lifelong member of First United Methodist Church.
Family would like to give a special thank you to Bethel Retirement and Optimal Hospice for their continuous care and support. Edythe will be truly missed; she was deeply loved by her family, her friends and church community.
Edythe’s family invites you to attend a memorial service in her honor on Friday, February 1, 2019 at 11am at First United Methodist Church located at 850 16th Street, Modesto, CA 95354.
