Verna C. Weakley, 92, of Pekin died Friday, Aug. 26, 2005, at Morton Terrace in Morton.
Born July 9, 1913, in Livingston County to Edward and Elizabeth Holzhauer Abraham, she married Willard Weakley on Aug. 26, 1938, in Davenport, Iowa. He died on Jan. 7, 1963, in Pekin.
She also was preceded in death by one brother.
Surviving are two sons, Willard Jr. (and Ruth) of Pekin and Donald (and Rose) of Manito; two daughters, Patricia (and Vernon) Swing of Lovington and Sharon (and Irwin) Spiesz of Pekin; and one sister, Blanche Sykes of Pontiac.
She had worked as a cook at Floyd's Nursing Home in Pekin until retiring.
Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens.
