Edna Frans Goodman, 86, formerly of Greenleaf, died Tuesday, August 8, 2000, of natural causes at a care center in Weiser. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 11, at 10:30 a.m. at the Dakan Funeral Chapel in Caldwell. Services will conclude at the chapel. Private burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell.
Edna was born January 2, 1914, in Fay, Oklahoma. She married Hubert Frans on December 24, 1934, in Fairview, Oklahoma. They resided in Caldwell where they raised their four children, JoLena Jody, Phil, Glenda and Jack. Hubert passed away in 1982. Edna married Al Goodman on May 29, 1985, in Winnemucca, Nevada. Their union lasted until 1988 when he passed away. Edna worked at the JR Simplot Company until she retired.
Edna was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Frans; her husband, Al Goodman; a great-grandson, Scott Frans; a son-in-law, Larry Smythe; and several brothers and sisters.
Edna is survived by her four children, Jody Eells and husband, David, Caldwell, Phil Frans and wife, Verla, Boise, Glenda Smythe, Payette, and Jack Frans and wife, Kathy, Boise; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Twila Walker, Kansas, Eula Conklin, Oklahoma, and Virginia Neal, Oklahoma. She will be missed very much.
