The Watonga Republican, Oct. 28, 1982:
"Funeral services for Bessie Jones, 67, Fay, who died Friday, Oct. 22, 1982, in the Watonga hospital, were held Monday, Oct. 25, in the Fay High School auditorium with the Rev. Glen Tomlinson officiating. Burial was in the Fay Cemetery under the direction of Russworm Funeral Home.
Mrs. Jones was a lifelong resident of Fay. She graduated from Fay High School and was a member of Christ Church of the First Born.
She married William Jones in 1940 in Buffalo. He survives her.
Other survivors include one son, Farrel, Goddard, Kan.; one daugter, Judy Drewer, Wellston; one brother, Emil Spain, Eagle city; six sisters, Jewel Spencer of Fay, Edna Frans of Idaho, Wilma Frans of Thomas, Eula Conklin of Eagle City, Virginia Neal of Midwest City, and Twila Walker of Kansas City, Kan., and three grandchildren."
