(1953 - 2017)

Dale A. Preston, 64, of 5530 County Road J., Reedsville, died peacefully at his home on November 26, 2017 with family at his side.

The funeral will be at 6 pm on Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Clarks Mills. Officiation at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Revs. Richard and Bill Hoffman. Cremation will follow. The family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Thursday after 3 pm until 6 pm.

Dale was born in Manitowoc on May 20, 1953, son of the late Charles and Elmira Behnke Preston. He attended St. Michael's Catholic Grade School in Whitelaw and graduated in 1971 from Valders High School. On July 20, 1974 he married Diane Dietrich at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Clarks Mills. Dale was employed with Waste Management of Whitelaw as a heavy equipment operator for the past 30 years. he loved to spend time working on his antique Chevelle and putzing in his garage and he enjoyed deer hunting. He also enjoyed time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Diane, a daughter and son-in-law, Danielle and Jimmy Bodart of Manitowoc; a son and daughter-in-law, Travis and Amber Preston of Whitelaw; five grandchildren. He is further survived by brothers and sisters-in-law, Kevin Preston of Whitelaw, Mark and Laura Preston, Tom and Sue Preston, all of Manitowoc and Diane and Dean Najmayer of Whitelaw. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Dolores Dietrich of Clarks Mills and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Mike and Marcie Dietrich of Newton, Pat and Debbie Dietrich of Cato, Lois and Dave Hallet of New Franken, Linda and Randy Hablewitz of Manitowoc, along with aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and many friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jerome "Jerry" Preston, his father-in-law, Jerome " Jerry" Dietrich, a godson, Justin Preston and baby Bodart.
