Andrew Friend was born circa 1739 in Monocacy Hundred of Prince George County, Maryland He then lived in the Northern Necks of Virginia about 1750 in Hampshire County, and then removed to Monongalia County in the 1790s before trekking into the Old Northwest Territory past the Ohio River into what is known as today's Perry Township of Gallia County, Ohio until his death circa 1824. It is unknown where he's buried is in the area, probaly on this own land he owned sinc 1812; but his legacy was never forgotten by his descendants.
