Services for Gwendolyn Yvette "Gwen" Rice, 42, of Jackson, who died Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2009, at Baptist Hospital in Jackson, will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Milford Baptist Church.

Rice was born July 2, 1967, in Natchez, the daughter of David Smith and Elvia Rice Smith.

She was a member of Edna Anderson Chapter No. 11 Order of Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her mother; and grandfather, Charlie I. Rice.

Survivors include one son, William "Scooter" Minor; her father; grandmother, Marie Rice; seven siblings, Pamela Dotson, Sandra Ellis, Iris Rice-Robertson, Kenneth Rice, Eric T. Smith, Rosie Lee Smith and Pearl Long; two aunts, Bertha Johnson and Doris Rice; two uncles, Charlie M. Rice and Herman Stewart; a special person, Johnny Wells; her dog, Snookum; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
