ROCKTON - Leslie Gene Fuller, 19, former Rockton resident, was killed at 11:30 p.m. Sunday when struck by a hit-and-run vehicle in Chula Vista, Calif.
Fuller and a friend were pushing a stalled motorcycle when the accident occurred. The driver of the car was apprehended later.
Fuller was born Dec, 7, 1940, in Rockton, son of Brittan W. and Aldean Anderson Fuller. The family moved to the Beloit area, and Fuller attended Powers Rural School and Beloit Memorial High School. He was graduated from Chula Vista High School in 1959, and had been working as a service station attendant. He was due to start college next month.
Survivors are his parents, who had moved back to Beloit and reside at 708 Middle st.; a brother, Wesley, in the Air Force on Okinawa; two sisters, Mrs. Roxanna Riley, Loves Park, and Mrs. Donna Simplot, Rockford; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Anderson, Beloit, and Mrs, Ruby Fuller, Glendale, Ariz.
Arrangements are being completed in Rosman-Uehling-Kinzer Funeral Home, Beloit.
