Obituaries
Eulis Parsley
Services for Eluis "Pappy" Parsley, 70, will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Mission Chapel of Ivers and Alcorn Funeral Home.
The Rev. Emmett Hubbard of the Calvary Temple Pentecostal Church of God will officiate and burial will be in Winton District Cemetery.
Mr. Parsley died Sunday in a Merced hospital. Born March 1, 1913 in Stigler, Okla., he moved to Merced in 1936. He worked as a land leveler for Reinero Bros., for 30 years, retiring 20 years ago.
Survivors include his wife, Isabel Parsley of Merced; three daughters, Lorraine Broussard and Alice Stephens both of Merced; and Betty Lewis of Fresno; four sons, Don, Jim, George and Larry Parsley, all of Merced; a sister, Delia Tilloston of Merced; a brother, Short Parsley of Arizona; 21 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
