In memory of John Carlyle, who died at Irving-bank on the 19th of Septr 1857, aged 75 years. Also Margaret Carlyle his daughter, who died at Burn, on the 15th of May 1846, aged 22 years. And Jean Angus his wife, who died at Ecclefechan, the 3rd of Augt 1868, in her 83rd year. Also Jean Drummond, wife of William Carlyle their son, who died 4th April 1873, aged 60 years. Also Agnes Taylor, neice of the above who died 17th May 1881 aged 3 years and 6 months. Also the above William Carlyle who died at Ecclefechan 16th Dec 1898, aged 78 years. Also Elizabeth Kelly, his wife, who died 8th Dec 1925, aged 89 years
