Faith Marie Lee was born in Pine Ridge, SD to Jake Herman and Alice (Janis) Herman. Faith made her journey to the Spirit World on March 16, 2019 at her home in Rapid City, SD.

Faith grew up on her parents homestead near Kyle, SD and attended elementary school in Kyle and spent her high school years at Holy Rosary Mission and graduated from Pine Ridge High School.

Faith married Patrick A. Lee on May 2, 1974 in Pine Ridge, SD and they were married for 45 years. Faith and Patrick lived in Pine Ridge, SD where Faith was employed by the Bureau of Indian Affairs as a clerical assistant. Faith and Patrick stayed in Pine Ridge a little over a year before they moved to New Mexico where Faith began furthering her education and soon obtained her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of New Mexico. When they moved back to South Dakota in 1981, she started working for the Rapid City School District and obtained her Master’s Degree while working for the District. Faith continued to live in Rapid City with her family where she helped teach CCD at St. Isaac Jogue’s Catholic Church in Rapid City and spent the remainder of her time taking care of her family and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Faith is survived by her husband, Patrick A. Lee of Rapid City, SD; two sons, both of Rapid City, SD; one brother of Rapid City, SD and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Faith was preceded in death by her parents, Jake & Alice Herman; brothers, Paul Herman and Jacob Herman; sisters, Hope Brewer and Grace Herman; sons, Rex Wilson, Doug Wilson, Howard Wilson, and Ogden Wilson; and grandson, Jude Wilson.

Visitation Services: 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at the St. Isaac Jogue’s Catholic Church in Rapid City, SD with Rosary services starting at 7:00 PM at the church.
Mass of Christian Burial: 10:00 AM, Thursday, March 21, 2019 at the St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church in Rapid City, SD.
Officiating: Father Ed Witt, S.J.
Burial Services: 11:30 AM, Thursday, March 21, 2019 at the Black Hills National Cemetery in Sturgis, SD
