Josephine Newkirk, age 82 of Pleasant Plains, died Saturday, May 26, 2007 in Searcy. She was born May 13, 1925 in Lexa, Arkansas.
She is survived by one daughter-in-law, Judy Newkirk of Long Beach, California; five grandchildren, Gary Newkirk and wife Jean of Long Beach, Greg Newkirk and wife Monica of Long Beach, Gail Newkirk of Oregon, Gloria Newkirk Cardenas and husband Joe of Norwalk, California, Lorie King and husband Mark of Searcy; seven great-grandchildren; and one brother, Robert Williams of Portland, Oregon. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband William Frank Newkirk; and two sons, Bill Newkirk and Jimmie Newkirk.
Visitation will be Friday, June 1, 2007 from 9:00 until 11:00 A.M. at Roller-Daniel Funeral Home. Graveside funeral services will be Friday at 2:00 P.M. at Central Cemetery at Lexa, Arkansas.
