Funeral services for Huntsville native Ada C. Benson, age 88, will be Saturday, March 23, 2019, 12:00 P.M. at Unity of Faith Baptist Church. Burial will immediately follow in Old Colony Cemetery, in Huntsville, Texas.

On March 16, 2019, Ada Cornelius Benson passed away peacefully in her sleep at Creekside Retirement Center in Huntsville, Texas.

Ada was born on November 17, 1930 in Huntsville, Texas the third of five children to Mr. Ira Ben Leigh and WIllie Maxey Leigh.

Ada was converted to Christianity at an early age and joined Good Hope Missionary Baptist Church. She served o the Usher Board for many years.

Ada was preceded in death by her parents; brothers; Amos Leigh and Rev. Ira Leigh II; sister: Pearlie Robinson and great-granddaughter: Ronique D' lan Myers.

Ada is survived by her daughter: Patsy R. Johnson (Oliver); of Huntsville, TX; granddaughter: Lesley Leigh Burton ( Lawrence ); of Missouri City, TX.; Twin grandsons; Kingston and Keagan; of Missouri City, TX; and Laurence Sherman Burton; of Ohio; great granddaughter: Lauren Burton; of Missouri City, TX.; sister: Willie Sue Williams; of Huntsville, TX.; devoted niece: Pamela Kaye Williams; of Huntsville, TX.; close friend: Helen Conway; of Houston, TX. And many additional relatives and friends.
