Gayle C. Browne 64 of Emmett, passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2007 at his home in Emmett. Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Friday, June 8, 2007 at the Emmett Cemetery. Arrangements are with the Potter Funeral Chapel in Emmett. He was born May 28, 1943 at Blackfoot, Idaho, the fifth of seven children born to John Melvin and Josie (Peterson) Browne. At birth he was a very thin and sickly baby. People told his mom that she would never be able to save him. His mom was very proud of the fact she successfully raised Gayle. Gayle eventually became a truck driver. In his career he drove over three million miles. He was married to Beverly Woods and they were later divorced. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Alton J. Browne and two nephews, Terry Browne and Jay Browne. Survivors include four brothers, Joseph, Jack, Earl and Jerry Browne; a sister, Agnes White and numerous nieces and nephews.
